AdCare Educational Institute
Our Mission
The mission of AdCare Educational Institute is to advance awareness, knowledge and skills in the prevention, intervention and treatment of substance abuse and related public health issues.
The Institute accomplishes its mission through the development and implementation of high quality, yet affordable training programs and educational events. Activities are offered to individuals and organizations who directly or indirectly encounter problems associated with substance abuse or are affected by other public health issues.
About Us
AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization established in 1986 in Worcester, Massachusetts. From a humble beginning, the agency has grown significantly and currently has offices in Worcester, Massachusetts and Augusta, Maine. The main administrative office for AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. is located at 5 Northampton Street in Worcester, MA.
In Massachusetts a large portion of the funding AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. receives comes from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Presently, the agency holds a combined contract for the development of statewide trainings, education, and logistics management with the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services and the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention. Additionally, AdCare also maintains a contract with the DPH Office of HIV/AIDS Bureau for research, training and support services.
AdCare Educational Institute of Maine is co-located with the
New England Institute of Addiction Studies in Augusta, Maine.
